Additionally I have a magic trackpad that is only used for my Mac and the Windows laptop has its own trackpad and rubbery joystick thing in between the keys in the keyboard. Guys, do you know of a KVM that would work well with what Im trying to do Ive looked everywhere and theres either some compromise or the other that doesnt give me the functionality that I need to be able to do what I want out of a PC and MacBook setup.

One of my mice can switch between 3 computers, but the switch is on the underside and it’s actually easier to just grab the correct mouse for each computer. A little while back I posted a couple of pictures of my new desk setup using both a Windows Laptop (a 2019 Dell XPS) and a Macbook Pro (2016) along with two 4k displays. Viewed 2k times 2 I have a multiple computer setup: 1 desktop, with the keyboard and mouse (Ubuntu) 2 laptops on the left and right (Win/Mac resp. :P ) So after swapping the KB and mouse, calling tech support and getting the KVM swapped and still having the same problem, I gave up on the idea.
